We all need time to get away from stuff: from the things we are meant to be doing; from the things which are expected of us; from the things we imagine are expected of us. Time away from doing what we have to do; those things we do because we believe they are achieving something. We need time to do what we want to do, time to do things for their own sake and not because of where they’ll lead.
What we need is just a few minutes to bunk off.
What’s It About?
Bunking Off will give you just a few minutes every week to join me as I look around the British Isles. It’ll be about places, people, history and, every now and then, about aeroplanes. The things that interest me, the things that I do for their own sake.
When
I will try to post something every Sunday morning so that you have time to come bunking off.
Where Will You Write About?
Well, it could be anywhere in the British Isles but, I plan to write about:
Liverpool, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Slough, Inverness, Salford, Blackpool, Stonehaven, Belfast, Bournemouth, Dundee, Cambridge, Cardiff, Hadrian’s Wall, Glasgow, Southampton, Newquay, Lerwick and lots of places in between.
